Interact Alumni Network
Offers former Interactors a safe bridge from school-based service into adult or age-appropriate opportunities, preserving school and youth-protection boundaries.
What could this idea change?
Young people can retain service friendships and confidence during a transition when community connections often fall away.
A simple way to start
- Agree the transition purpose and approved contact route with the school. Who could lead it: Interact sponsor chair and teacher adviser
- Invite recent alumni to co-design safe, useful activities. Who could lead it: Youth transition lead
- Renew permissions and separate under-18 from adult contact handling. Who could lead it: Privacy and safeguarding leads
- Run an alumni service meet-up with school-visible arrangements where required. Who could lead it: Event lead
- Offer age-appropriate pathways and close unmatched or declined records. Who could lead it: Transition coordinator
What should we look for?
- Invitations issued through authorised sources.
Before we say yes
- Does it fit a real local need?
- Can people take part safely and fairly?
- Are the facts, permissions and Rotary branding right?
- Who will lead it, and when will we review it?
