Corporate Community Dialogue

Creates a safe, independently facilitated exchange between a company and community stakeholders about a specific local impact, with response and remediation ownership.

What could this idea change?

Communities can put evidence directly to corporate decision-makers and receive documented responses rather than one-way consultation.

A simple way to start

  1. Define the issue, affected groups and non-negotiable safety boundaries. Who could lead it: Dialogue sponsor and community advisers
  2. Prepare a balanced evidence brief and confidential submission route. Who could lead it: Independent secretariat
  3. Brief company representatives on listening, response and anti-retaliation expectations. Who could lead it: Facilitator
  4. Run dialogue into agreed facts, disputed points and accountable actions. Who could lead it: Independent facilitator
  5. Publish a de-identified response matrix and monitor remediation. Who could lead it: Accountability lead

What should we look for?

  • Affected groups represented and supported.

Before we say yes

  • Does it fit a real local need?
  • Can people take part safely and fairly?
  • Are the facts, permissions and Rotary branding right?
  • Who will lead it, and when will we review it?
