Youth Community Leadership Awards

Recognises sustained, community-validated youth leadership while making the selection, publicity and development benefit safe and equitable.

What could this idea change?

Credible recognition elevates youth contribution and directs resources toward the leaders and causes already creating local value.

A simple way to start

  1. Publish criteria centred on ethical leadership, inclusion and verified community benefit. Who could lead it: Awards governance lead
  2. Invite nominations through youth services and communities beyond Rotary networks. Who could lead it: Outreach lead
  3. Eligibility-check and redact unnecessary sensitive information before judging. Who could lead it: Awards administrator
  4. Score independently, moderate conflicts and notify all nominees privately. Who could lead it: Independent panel chair
  5. Present recognition and deliver the promised development opportunity. Who could lead it: Club president and youth lead

What should we look for?

  • Valid nominations from diverse community sources.

Before we say yes

  • Does it fit a real local need?
  • Can people take part safely and fairly?
  • Are the facts, permissions and Rotary branding right?
  • Who will lead it, and when will we review it?
