Rotarian Snapshot Photo Board
Use Rotarian Snapshot Photo Board to make recognition timely, genuine and fair across visible and behind-the-scenes contributions.
Developed further: this summary now draws on an initiative-specific internal editorial draft and attributed references. Human review has not started and will open only at the Full-Corpus Review Build.
What could this idea change?
It makes a wider range of contributions visible and strengthens the club's culture of appreciation.
It may suit: Members and volunteers whose contributions may be recognised, and the people nominating or celebrating them.
A simple way to start
- Approve the board purpose, audiences, display sites, rotation, permissions, archive and withdrawal process before requesting images. Who could lead it: Board curator and club board sponsor
- Invite current images and text-only alternatives from varied roles and activities, explaining that submission does not guarantee display and attendance is not consent. Who could lead it: Board curator
- Verify creator rights, every identifiable person's choice, child or beneficiary authority, partner and site approval, caption claims and permitted audiences. Who could lead it: Rights and consent contact
- Select a balanced rotation, write member-approved captions and text alternatives and remove unnecessary location, name and metadata detail. Who could lead it: Curator and access reviewer
- Publish only to approved sites, display a correction and withdrawal route and prevent copying or cross-posting beyond the agreed audience where practical. Who could lead it: Curator and communications lead
What should we look for?
- After 90 days, review Rotarian Snapshot Photo Board. Look for a wider range of contributions being recognised, with consent, and for recipients reporting that the recognition felt appropriate.
- Every displayed asset carrying a source, audience, permission and expiry record.
- A spread of contribution types and participation formats without member rankings.
- Readable captions and text equivalents available for every display.
- Withdrawn and expired assets removed from all controlled displays and stores.
Before we say yes
- Does it fit a real local need?
- Can people take part safely and fairly?
- Are the facts, permissions and Rotary branding right?
- Who will lead it, and when will we review it?
