Corporate Community Service Day

Channels a company's paid volunteer day into a partner-defined output with safe roles, realistic scope and a pathway beyond one-day corporate visibility.

What could this idea change?

A community organisation receives useful work and potential longer-term support without absorbing unmanaged corporate volunteers.

A simple way to start

  1. Let the community partner define the need and acceptance criteria. Who could lead it: Partner project owner
  2. Translate the task into safe roles, materials and capped volunteer numbers. Who could lead it: Rotary service lead
  3. Brief corporate coordinators and volunteers on conduct, site and dignity. Who could lead it: Safety lead
  4. Deliver under named team supervisors with partner checkpoints. Who could lead it: Site coordinator
  5. Complete handover, defects and a longer-term support conversation. Who could lead it: Three-party sponsors

What should we look for?

  • Partner-accepted output completed.

Before we say yes

  • Does it fit a real local need?
  • Can people take part safely and fairly?
  • Are the facts, permissions and Rotary branding right?
  • Who will lead it, and when will we review it?
