Community Open Day

Turn general name recognition into an informed, low-pressure encounter with the club's current local work and a choice of relevant next steps.

What could this idea change?

Visitors can meet the people responsible for current projects, test claims through conversation and choose an action without being treated as membership leads.

A simple way to start

  1. Approve the resident audience, value proposition, capacity, date and success thresholds. Who could lead it: Event Coordinator
  2. Secure the venue and map access, stations, welcome, quiet conversation, emergency movement and pack-down. Who could lead it: Venue and Access Lead
  3. Select three to six projects and clear every fact, image, partner reference, presenter and next step. Who could lead it: Evidence and Rights Lead
  4. Configure invitations, registration, role shifts, run sheet, signage and each response pathway; then rehearse the visitor journey. Who could lead it: Operations Lead
  5. Welcome without pressure, keep the formal introduction concise, answer within authority and log only requested actions. Who could lead it: Front-of-House Lead

What should we look for?

  • Attendance compared with capacity and approved-channel reach

Before we say yes

  • Does it fit a real local need?
  • Can people take part safely and fairly?
  • Are the facts, permissions and Rotary branding right?
  • Who will lead it, and when will we review it?
