Rotary Signage Lifecycle Program
Replace ad hoc sign upgrades with an owned lifecycle that keeps every retained public asset legitimate, legible, current, safe and removable.
What could this idea change?
People receive clear identification, context or wayfinding without obstruction, obsolete branding, broken destinations or misleading claims.
A simple way to start
- Photograph and register every known asset, then decide retain, correct, replace or remove against current purpose and authority. Who could lead it: Asset Coordinator
- Confirm land or site owner, exact placement, term, conditions, maintenance and removal responsibility. Who could lead it: Site Liaison
- Develop copy, marks, material and destination; test legibility and access at actual viewing distance. Who could lead it: Brand and Content Approver
- Fabricate and install through competent suppliers under the site-specific method and acceptance plan. Who could lead it: Production/Installation Lead
- Commission the asset and schedule inspection, cleaning, damage, correction and route-health checks. Who could lead it: Maintenance Owner
What should we look for?
- Assets audited with owner, authority, condition and next action
Before we say yes
- Does it fit a real local need?
- Can people take part safely and fairly?
- Are the facts, permissions and Rotary branding right?
- Who will lead it, and when will we review it?
