Community Volunteer Information Night

Use the Evening Volunteer Information Session mode within Volunteer Discovery and Recruitment Session to achieve the parent pathway's purpose without setting it up as a separate pathway.

What could this idea change?

Prospective volunteers receive honest role information and a reliable handoff instead of vague recruitment promises or a hidden membership pitch.

A simple way to start

  1. Verify every opportunity, practical condition, owner, onboarding stage and confirmation capacity. Who could lead it: Opportunity Coordinator
  2. Choose daytime, evening or online format from audience access, timing and transport evidence. Who could lead it: Session Coordinator
  3. Configure comparison content, registration states, privacy notice, adjustments, response times and exceptions. Who could lead it: Matching and Privacy Lead
  4. Brief project ambassadors to state real tasks and limits, answer within authority and avoid membership pressure. Who could lead it: Facilitator
  5. Run the concise session, protect individual questions and register only the person's chosen opportunity or next matching request. Who could lead it: Facilitator

What should we look for?

  • Attendance and opportunity-menu engagement by intended audience

Before we say yes

  • Does it fit a real local need?
  • Can people take part safely and fairly?
  • Are the facts, permissions and Rotary branding right?
  • Who will lead it, and when will we review it?
