Digital Community Leadership Events

Convenes leaders and residents online around a defined civic challenge, combining evidence, equal participation and a public action record without presenting Rotary as the decision authority.

What could this idea change?

People who cannot travel can contribute to a structured civic exchange whose insights, limits and next actions remain visible after the event.

A simple way to start

  1. Frame the civic question and publish what the event can inform, recommend or decide. Who could lead it: Civic Event Sponsor
  2. Invite a balanced participant mix and disclose selection rationale and relevant interests. Who could lead it: Stakeholder Curator
  3. Rehearse evidence, facilitation, accessibility, cyber security, moderation and failure scenarios. Who could lead it: Producer and Digital Safety Lead
  4. Facilitate equal opportunities to contribute and distinguish fact, experience, option and commitment. Who could lead it: Independent Facilitator
  5. Publish a neutral record and transfer actions only to owners with authority to accept them. Who could lead it: Rapporteur

What should we look for?

  • Participation across the intended civic sectors

Before we say yes

  • Does it fit a real local need?
  • Can people take part safely and fairly?
  • Are the facts, permissions and Rotary branding right?
  • Who will lead it, and when will we review it?
