What could this idea change?

A reliable outlet relationship can extend useful local information without blurring journalism, sponsorship and Rotary promotion.

Could this work in our club?

  • Media owners and editors, partnership or sponsorship teams, Rotary boards, community content partners and audiences. Use when both parties can state a continuing audience benefit and concrete contributions.

Before you start

  • Partner due diligence and board-approved public-interest purpose.
  • Written agreement covering editorial control, sponsorship, content, marks, data, costs, term and exit.
  • Named operational and governance contacts plus complaints and review mechanisms.

At the end: Reconcile deliverables and rights each quarter, address complaints jointly without interfering in editorial decisions, and complete an orderly data and brand exit if not renewed.

Before your club says yes

Does the idea fit?

Talk with the people it is meant to serve and check that the need is real.

Who can say yes?

Name the person or group that can approve the work, spending and any safety arrangements.

Are people protected?

Check privacy, consent and safety. Collect only the information you genuinely need.

Can everyone take part?

Check the language, format, place, technology and cost for barriers.

Are the facts and permissions right?

Check names, claims, images, quotations, partner references and Rotary branding.

How will we learn?

Note where things stand now, check in at 30, 60 and 90 days, and decide what to do next.
