What could this idea change?

Provides an accessible public knowledge base that records evidence, acknowledges uncertainty and points readers to relevant local action.

Could this work in our club?

  • Residents seeking detail, prospective partners, local media, members and supporters who prefer written content. Use when the club has recurring topics that warrant context, sources and more than a short caption.

Before you start

  • An editorial charter defining audience, themes, voice, evidence and prohibited content.
  • A six-article pipeline with authors, reviewers, permissions and source material identified.
  • Website ownership, accessibility, analytics, moderation and archive arrangements confirmed.

At the end: Review articles at least annually for stale facts and broken links, answer substantive enquiries, and archive superseded versions without erasing the correction record.

Before your club says yes

Does the idea fit?

Talk with the people it is meant to serve and check that the need is real.

Who can say yes?

Name the person or group that can approve the work, spending and any safety arrangements.

Are people protected?

Check privacy, consent and safety. Collect only the information you genuinely need.

Can everyone take part?

Check the language, format, place, technology and cost for barriers.

Are the facts and permissions right?

Check names, claims, images, quotations, partner references and Rotary branding.

How will we learn?

Note where things stand now, check in at 30, 60 and 90 days, and decide what to do next.
