What could this idea change?

Helps people find relatable points of connection while crediting teams and community partners rather than presenting service as individual heroism.

Could this work in our club?

  • Community readers, prospective volunteers or members, partners and existing members. Use when members voluntarily want to explain a specific contribution or learning.

Before you start

  • Published selection principles that avoid favouring status, tenure or personal networks.
  • A short interview template and permission choices for text, portrait, employer and personal details.
  • A release calendar with an editor, image reviewer and monitored enquiry owner.

At the end: Thank the member and collaborators, give them the final link, complete project introductions and rebalance the candidate list before the next cycle.

Before your club says yes

Does the idea fit?

Talk with the people it is meant to serve and check that the need is real.

Who can say yes?

Name the person or group that can approve the work, spending and any safety arrangements.

Are people protected?

Check privacy, consent and safety. Collect only the information you genuinely need.

Can everyone take part?

Check the language, format, place, technology and cost for barriers.

Are the facts and permissions right?

Check names, claims, images, quotations, partner references and Rotary branding.

How will we learn?

Note where things stand now, check in at 30, 60 and 90 days, and decide what to do next.
