What could this idea change?

Creates an accessible public space for reflection on local needs, contribution and results while crediting photographers, subjects and partners.

Could this work in our club?

  • Gallery and library visitors, families, schools, partners, volunteers and residents less likely to follow Rotary online. Use when a coherent image collection can sustain a visitor journey rather than a miscellaneous display.

Before you start

  • A curatorial theme, audience pathway, image shortlist and documented interpretation standard.
  • Venue agreement covering access, installation, security, insurance, opening hours and removal.
  • Subject, photographer, archive, caption, partner-mark and promotional rights cleared for each item.

At the end: Thank subjects, photographers, venue and partners, provide approved visitor insights, close enquiries and confirm whether each image may be archived or reused.

Before your club says yes

Does the idea fit?

Talk with the people it is meant to serve and check that the need is real.

Who can say yes?

Name the person or group that can approve the work, spending and any safety arrangements.

Are people protected?

Check privacy, consent and safety. Collect only the information you genuinely need.

Can everyone take part?

Check the language, format, place, technology and cost for barriers.

Are the facts and permissions right?

Check names, claims, images, quotations, partner references and Rotary branding.

How will we learn?

Note where things stand now, check in at 30, 60 and 90 days, and decide what to do next.
