Community Leadership Partnership

Pair Rotary's convening capacity with credible community leaders to mentor emerging leaders and advance a locally chosen challenge.

What could this idea change?

Leadership capability is strengthened around real community work, with access widened beyond established institutional networks.

A simple way to start

  1. Co-design the leadership challenge with people affected by it. Who could lead it: Community partner
  2. Recruit a balanced mentor and participant cohort against published criteria. Who could lead it: Cohort coordinator
  3. Agree learning goals, decision rights and respectful-engagement norms. Who could lead it: Programme facilitator
  4. Support mixed teams to deliver a small challenge response. Who could lead it: Team mentors
  5. Showcase learning and transfer ongoing ownership to the appropriate body. Who could lead it: Community sponsor

What should we look for?

  • Cohort reflects the communities relevant to the challenge.

Before we say yes

  • Does it fit a real local need?
  • Can people take part safely and fairly?
  • Are the facts, permissions and Rotary branding right?
  • Who will lead it, and when will we review it?
