Bring residents, service organisations, technologists and decision-makers together to test a small solution to a stubborn local problem.
What could this idea change?
Promising ideas are tested cheaply and ethically with users before scarce community resources are committed at scale.
A simple way to start
- Describe the problem and current journey with lived-experience contributors. Who could lead it: Community design lead
- Generate options and select the lowest-risk test of the key assumption. Who could lead it: Innovation facilitator
- Approve prototype safeguards, consent and success or stop criteria. Who could lead it: Pilot governance owner
- Run the test and capture behavioural evidence plus unintended effects. Who could lead it: Experiment lead
- Make an evidence-based adopt, adapt or stop decision. Who could lead it: Authorised sponsor
What should we look for?
- Key assumption and baseline are explicit.
Before we say yes
- Does it fit a real local need?
- Can people take part safely and fairly?
- Are the facts, permissions and Rotary branding right?
- Who will lead it, and when will we review it?
