Students develop applied capability and the community receives useful work without using unpaid placements as substitute labour.

• University placement offices, students, academic supervisors, Rotary project teams and community host partners. Use when a defined project can produce genuine learning outcomes under qualified supervision.

Before you start

• University placement agreement covering status, learning outcomes, hours, insurance and assessment.
• Fair Work and state or territory requirements checked for the exact arrangement.
• Role description, supervisor capacity, safety induction, privacy access and complaints route.

At the end: Provide the final assessment promptly, confirm ownership and permitted use of student work, revoke system access and offer a separate opt-in alumni connection.
