Rotary Social Innovation Partnerships

Pair Rotary with funders, designers and service organisations to develop and test a socially useful innovation under explicit evidence and ethics gates.

What could this idea change?

Novel solutions receive disciplined testing while communities are protected from hype, premature scale and extractive experimentation.

A simple way to start

  1. Validate the unmet need and proposed benefit with intended users. Who could lead it: Lived-experience lead
  2. Select partners and document capability, incentives and IP expectations. Who could lead it: Partnership architect
  3. Design the minimum safe pilot and decision-quality measures. Who could lead it: Innovation team
  4. Run the stage-gated test with independent harm monitoring. Who could lead it: Pilot director
  5. Decide stop, adapt, transfer or scale and publish the evidence basis. Who could lead it: Investment committee

What should we look for?

  • Target users validate the problem and acceptable pilot.

Before we say yes

  • Does it fit a real local need?
  • Can people take part safely and fairly?
  • Are the facts, permissions and Rotary branding right?
  • Who will lead it, and when will we review it?
