Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge

Helps young people test a community-minded venture ethically, learning customer discovery, cost, impact and failure without pressure to commercialise.

What could this idea change?

Participants learn responsible enterprise and local problems gain low-cost, evidence-informed concepts.

A simple way to start

  1. Publish a problem-led brief and explain what a responsible venture must demonstrate. Who could lead it: Challenge director
  2. Run team formation and an ethics-first idea screen. Who could lead it: Education partner
  3. Provide clinics on user research, costs, impact and pitching. Who could lead it: Mentor coordinator
  4. Test assumptions with consented users and document evidence. Who could lead it: Student teams
  5. Judge against the published rubric and fund only a governed next-stage experiment. Who could lead it: Independent panel chair

What should we look for?

  • Teams completing ethics and assumption checks.

Before we say yes

  • Does it fit a real local need?
  • Can people take part safely and fairly?
  • Are the facts, permissions and Rotary branding right?
  • Who will lead it, and when will we review it?
