Civic Leadership Dialogues
Provides the controlled, civic-neutral destination for structured dialogue on a defined local issue, bringing evidence, lived experience and legitimate decision boundaries together so leaders and residents can identify useful options without Rotary claiming public authority.
What could this idea change?
Participants can hear credible differences, correct misunderstandings and turn areas of agreement into owned next steps while dissent and unresolved questions remain visible.
A simple way to start
- Co-frame one answerable civic question and publish what the dialogue can inform, recommend, refer or decide. Who could lead it: Dialogue Sponsor and Authority Liaison
- Invite a balanced participant mix, record interests and brief every contributor on equal conditions. Who could lead it: Stakeholder Curator
- Prepare neutral evidence, agenda, access supports, facilitation prompts and safety or disruption contingencies. Who could lead it: Independent Lead Facilitator
- Facilitate the session, distinguishing fact, lived experience, interpretation, option, commitment and unresolved disagreement. Who could lead it: Facilitation and Rapporteur Team
- Publish an accessible neutral record and transfer actions only to named organisations or people who accept responsibility and have authority. Who could lead it: Record and Action Steward
