What could this idea change?

Visitors gain practical understanding of the method, limitations and contribution without being exposed to the full project's hazards or being represented as volunteers.

Could this work in our club?

  • Residents or prospective partners who understand a project better by seeing, discussing or safely trying how it works. Use when a representative element can be separated safely from the full service task.

Before you start

  • Technical evidence, subject-matter authority, site approval and activity-specific risk and insurance review.
  • Equipment inventory, maintenance, transport, setup, recovery and failure fallback.
  • Demonstrator competence, supervisor ratios, audience information and emergency roles.
  • Specific image and story permissions plus an effective no-image route.

At the end: Send the requested verified information or project route, complete incident and equipment actions, thank visitors and partners, update every linked technical explanation when the method changes and retire the demonstration if learning value does not justify its risk or burden.

Before your club says yes

Does the idea fit?

Talk with the people it is meant to serve and check that the need is real.

Who can say yes?

Name the person or group that can approve the work, spending and any safety arrangements.

Are people protected?

Check privacy, consent and safety. Collect only the information you genuinely need.

Can everyone take part?

Check the language, format, place, technology and cost for barriers.

Are the facts and permissions right?

Check names, claims, images, quotations, partner references and Rotary branding.

How will we learn?

Note where things stand now, check in at 30, 60 and 90 days, and decide what to do next.
