What could this idea change?

The public gains one trustworthy, current and usable source for local Rotary information instead of relying on fragmented social posts or member knowledge.

Could this work in our club?

  • Mobile-first visitors, prospective participants, partners, media, members and people using assistive technology or low-bandwidth connections. Use when the current site is outdated, inaccessible, insecure, difficult to edit or unclear to first-time visitors.

Before you start

  • A content and service inventory with keep, rewrite, redirect, archive and owner decisions.
  • Verified control of the domain, hosting, analytics, administrative accounts and recovery contacts.
  • User tasks, accessibility acceptance criteria, privacy requirements and measurable launch outcomes.

At the end: Review analytics, enquiries, accessibility feedback and security health after 30 and 90 days, then publish the next content-maintenance date and owner.

Before your club says yes

Does the idea fit?

Talk with the people it is meant to serve and check that the need is real.

Who can say yes?

Name the person or group that can approve the work, spending and any safety arrangements.

Are people protected?

Check privacy, consent and safety. Collect only the information you genuinely need.

Can everyone take part?

Check the language, format, place, technology and cost for barriers.

Are the facts and permissions right?

Check names, claims, images, quotations, partner references and Rotary branding.

How will we learn?

Note where things stand now, check in at 30, 60 and 90 days, and decide what to do next.
