Rotary Social Media Ambassador Program
Equips a distributed group of members and supporters to share approved local stories in their own voices while preserving facts, rights, disclosure, account security and a single response route.
What could this idea change?
Local stories reach trusted networks through authentic people without turning participants into scripted promoters or exposing community subjects to uncontrolled reuse.
A simple way to start
- Recruit ambassadors for audience relevance and judgement, not follower count alone. Who could lead it: Ambassador Program Lead
- Train and assess ambassadors using realistic consent, correction, security and election-period scenarios. Who could lead it: Digital Governance Trainer
- Issue campaign briefs that distinguish required facts and disclosures from optional personal voice. Who could lead it: Content Lead
- Monitor shared assets, answer questions and pause content rapidly when facts, links or permissions change. Who could lead it: Duty Community Manager
- Review reach quality, community actions, incidents and ambassador workload before each new wave. Who could lead it: Program Evaluator
What should we look for?
- Ambassadors completing scenario-based training
Before we say yes
- Does it fit a real local need?
- Can people take part safely and fairly?
- Are the facts, permissions and Rotary branding right?
- Who will lead it, and when will we review it?
