Magazine Feature Partnerships

Develop occasional or recurring long-form features with a magazine whose readership aligns to a substantial Rotary or community story.

What could this idea change?

Complex local work receives space for context, community voice and evidence that short news formats cannot provide.

A simple way to start

  1. Study the magazine's sections and propose a reader-specific feature angle. Who could lead it: Feature partnerships lead
  2. Agree commission, editorial control, fees or sponsorship and deliverables. Who could lead it: Publisher liaison
  3. Collect reporting material with contributor consent and source records. Who could lead it: Feature producer
  4. Review supplied facts and rights while leaving editorial judgment to the magazine. Who could lead it: Fact and rights editor
  5. Approve only Rotary-owned reuse and track reader outcomes. Who could lead it: Content custodian

What should we look for?

  • Editor accepts a feature concept matched to readership.

Before we say yes

  • Does it fit a real local need?
  • Can people take part safely and fairly?
  • Are the facts, permissions and Rotary branding right?
  • Who will lead it, and when will we review it?
