Rotary Community Pride Campaign
Celebrates specific places, people and collective achievements while directing pride into stewardship, participation and attention to work still needed.
What could this idea change?
Locally valued stories and places gain respectful visibility, contributors receive shared credit and pride becomes a route to practical community care.
A simple way to start
- Map the places, people and achievements the community wants represented and the gaps it wants acknowledged. Who could lead it: Community Curator
- Agree selection principles and a unifying theme without ranking neighbourhoods or groups. Who could lead it: Co-Design Panel
- Produce local profiles and visuals with attribution, accessible descriptions and rights records. Who could lead it: Creative Lead
- Launch through trusted community venues and invite one stewardship or participation action. Who could lead it: Activation Lead
- Capture additions and corrections, then transfer approved material to a maintained local archive. Who could lead it: Archive Steward
What should we look for?
- Represented communities approving their material
Before we say yes
- Does it fit a real local need?
- Can people take part safely and fairly?
- Are the facts, permissions and Rotary branding right?
- Who will lead it, and when will we review it?
