Community Voices Series

Publishes a deliberately varied series of community perspectives on a defined local issue, showing both shared priorities and legitimate differences.

What could this idea change?

Broadens whose knowledge is heard, reduces Rotary-centric framing and creates a transparent input route for service planning.

A simple way to start

  1. Define the question and recruit through multiple community channels, tracking representation gaps. Who could lead it: Community Engagement Lead
  2. Offer interview, small-group, written and assisted participation options with clear privacy boundaries. Who could lead it: Access Coordinator
  3. Gather perspectives using neutral prompts and record requests separately from publishable quotations. Who could lead it: Listener-Facilitator
  4. Return quotations or summaries for participant approval and synthesise themes without manufacturing consensus. Who could lead it: Series Editor
  5. Publish the agreed voices and explain what Rotary or another authorised body will do with the input. Who could lead it: Accountable Sponsor

What should we look for?

  • Participation across priority community segments

Before we say yes

  • Does it fit a real local need?
  • Can people take part safely and fairly?
  • Are the facts, permissions and Rotary branding right?
  • Who will lead it, and when will we review it?
