What could this idea change?

Local organisations spend less time duplicating activity and can direct effort to a gap selected through shared evidence.

Could this work in our club?

  • Community-service leaders, council officers, place-based groups, First Nations representatives where relevant and Rotary facilitators. Use when several organisations address the same place or issue but rarely compare plans.

Before you start

  • A tightly framed question, balanced invite list and transparent selection rationale.
  • An independent facilitator with an attribution, conflict and cultural-safety protocol.
  • Accessible venue or platform plus an agreed method for capturing only authorised information.

At the end: Send the corrected record within five business days, check action owners at 30 days, and reconvene only if there is evidence that collective work is adding value.

Before your club says yes

Does the idea fit?

Talk with the people it is meant to serve and check that the need is real.

Who can say yes?

Name the person or group that can approve the work, spending and any safety arrangements.

Are people protected?

Check privacy, consent and safety. Collect only the information you genuinely need.

Can everyone take part?

Check the language, format, place, technology and cost for barriers.

Are the facts and permissions right?

Check names, claims, images, quotations, partner references and Rotary branding.

How will we learn?

Note where things stand now, check in at 30, 60 and 90 days, and decide what to do next.
