What could this idea change?

Students and families receive an agreed resource or experience shaped by the school rather than an externally imposed club project.

Could this work in our club?

  • School leaders, wellbeing and community-liaison staff, parent bodies, students where appropriate and Rotary youth-service leads. Use when a school has named a priority aligned with Rotary capability.

Before you start

  • Principal or authorised delegate approval and a nominated school coordinator.
  • State or territory child-safety, screening, induction and supervision requirements mapped.
  • Consent, privacy, accessibility and image-use arrangements approved before recruitment or promotion.

At the end: Debrief first with the school, close consent and incident records, and schedule any next activity through the school's planning cycle rather than contacting students directly.

Before your club says yes

Does the idea fit?

Talk with the people it is meant to serve and check that the need is real.

Who can say yes?

Name the person or group that can approve the work, spending and any safety arrangements.

Are people protected?

Check privacy, consent and safety. Collect only the information you genuinely need.

Can everyone take part?

Check the language, format, place, technology and cost for barriers.

Are the facts and permissions right?

Check names, claims, images, quotations, partner references and Rotary branding.

How will we learn?

Note where things stand now, check in at 30, 60 and 90 days, and decide what to do next.
