Business Community Collaboration

Mobilise local businesses around a community outcome through practical contributions of skills, access, staff time or supply-chain reach.

What could this idea change?

Business capability is directed to a verified local need without converting the activity into advertising or privileged access.

A simple way to start

  1. Translate the community need into discrete skill, resource and access requests. Who could lead it: Vocational service lead
  2. Invite a diverse business pool using the same participation brief. Who could lead it: Business engagement coordinator
  3. Assess offers for usefulness, conflicts and hidden conditions. Who could lead it: Governance panel
  4. Coordinate contributions through the community partner's delivery plan. Who could lead it: Project integrator
  5. Recognise contributions proportionately and publish verified community results. Who could lead it: Communications approver

What should we look for?

  • Priority resource gaps receive suitable offers.

Before we say yes

  • Does it fit a real local need?
  • Can people take part safely and fairly?
  • Are the facts, permissions and Rotary branding right?
  • Who will lead it, and when will we review it?
