Link volunteer-involving organisations so residents can find suitable roles and organisations can share training, referral and surge-capacity practices.
What could this idea change?
Volunteers receive clearer pathways and safer placements while organisations reduce duplicated recruitment and induction effort.
A simple way to start
- Survey organisations for current roles, checks, support and capacity. Who could lead it: Network mapper
- Set minimum listing and referral standards with participating organisations. Who could lead it: Safeguarding convenor
- Create an accessible matching and warm-referral process. Who could lead it: Volunteer pathway lead
- Pilot referrals across a small group and resolve drop-off points. Who could lead it: Referral coordinator
- Publish aggregate gaps and coordinate shared training where useful. Who could lead it: Network chair
What should we look for?
- Active opportunities pass the network listing standard.

- Does it fit a real local need?
- Can people take part safely and fairly?
- Are the facts, permissions and Rotary branding right?
- Who will lead it, and when will we review it?
