Community Vision Project
Builds a community-owned picture of a desirable local future from broad participation, then translates it into themes, tensions and invitations for authorised organisations to consider rather than claiming a manufactured mandate.
What could this idea change?
People can express what they value and fear through several accessible methods, see how perspectives were synthesised and identify which bodies can act on the result.
A simple way to start
- Define the place, time horizon, authority boundary and inclusion gaps with community governance. Who could lead it: Vision Project Board
- Pilot neutral prompts and participation methods with groups commonly missed by consultation. Who could lead it: Participation Design Lead
- Run the public contribution period with access supports, privacy choices and transparent progress reporting. Who could lead it: Community Engagement Team
- Synthesise themes, tensions and minority perspectives using the published method and independent review. Who could lead it: Synthesis and Assurance Panel
- Return the draft to the community, correct errors and refer the final vision to organisations with actual planning authority. Who could lead it: Handoff and Reporting Lead
