Why a club might use this

Community organisations receive fresh, testable ideas while students practice ethical problem-solving and collaboration.

Use it when

  • Secondary or tertiary student teams, educators, community problem owners and technical mentors. Use when a problem owner can provide a specific, non-exploitative challenge brief.

  • Published IP, data, consent, eligibility and judging rules in student-friendly language.
  • Needs-based access to materials, devices and participation costs.

Controls and safeguards

  • Students retain agreed rights; no sponsor or club may appropriate an idea by default.
  • Do not expose personal or community data in challenge datasets or demonstrations.
  • HIGH — student IP, judging conflicts, data use and physical or digital prototype safety require explicit rules before launch.

What to measure

  • Eligible teams completing a tested prototype.

Follow-up: Return scored feedback within seven days; any pilot invitation must be optional, school-approved and governed by a separate written agreement.
